As a member of the Coalition for Better Alcohol Policy, we are calling on Government to make clear how alcohol will be named and prioritised in the new National Drug Strategy.   Alcohol is the drug which results in the highest numbers of deaths and causes the highest levels of harm in Ireland.     In 2017, the Department of Health included alcohol in the national drug strategy and much progress has been achieved since.    Government must commit to prioritising alcohol and ensure that it is a policy priority to support progress on reducing and preventing alcohol harm continues
